Aesthetics Lab, New Taipei

The "Aesthetic Laboratory" at New Taipei Xintai Junior High School, designed by Abnormal Space Production, adopts the concept of a blank canvas, ingeniously integrating various functionalities to create a more spacious area. The lab features Shiang Ye's Slim Folding Chair, utilizing its high storage efficiency to optimize space usage. The design team transformed the classroom into a pure white space, retaining the texture of the flooring and removing aluminum window frames to enhance light penetration and spatial transparency. At the front, a whiteboard wall allows for expansive teaching, while the back combines a white gradient with mirrors, expanding the sense of space and blending reality with imagination. This design not only provides a canvas for students' creativity but also illustrates the fusion of education and art.
